Trans Euskal Herria cycle touring

Cycling in the Basque Country is a journey through spectacular nature. The Basque Coast between Donosti and Bilbao is spectacularly beautiful, sometimes calm, sometimes rugged, with unique geological folds such as the Flysch of Zumaia and other coastal areas. The mountains have all shades of green and go from the steepest and rockiest mountains to the most rounded of generous pastures. In between, the Basque rural environments will offer us a unique culture and gastronomy. Like the Trans Euskal Herria BTT, this route was designed with the passion and effort of a group of Basque cyclists who created one of the most interesting cyclotourism projects at European level, the Trans Euskal Herria tour in its BTT and cyclotourism versions. In the case of the cycle touring version, the idea was to join the 7 capitals of Euskal Herria by paths and roads away from traffic, being a journey suitable for a wide range of people.

The Trans Euskal Herria cyclotourism is a possibility to get to know the Basque Country in an intense way with a more feasible level of physical effort than the Trans Euskal Herria BTT.
