Road to Santiago
Camino de Santiago by Bike: Camino del Norte (North Way)
DURATION: 15 days | LEVEL: | MODALITY: Cyclotourism / MTB
Camino de Santiago by bike Northern Route is a variant of the Camino more physically demanding than the French section, and slightly less traveled. Mountainous and solitary landscapes await you in a more intense experience.

The Camino de Santiago by bike along the route of the Camino del Norte and the Camino Primitivo, is one of the best and most beautiful alternatives to the French way to Santiago. The route follows the Cantabrian coast in a continuous succession of coastal towns and stunning beaches: La Concha, Zumaia, Lekeitio, Laga, Laida, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, Plencia, Laredo, Llanes, Ribadesella, … The collection of photos that is recorded in the retina is very long.
Arriving at Villaviciosa we will take the detour to the Primitive Way that begins in Oviedo. In this section we will be captivated by the rural environments of the Asturian mountains, the richness of the cultural heritage that we will visit, such as the extraordinary churches of the Asturian pre-Romanesque ( Valdediós, Santa María del Naranco), the Asturian gastronomy and the kindness and hospitality of its people. We will enter Galicia through Fontsagrada and we will make the last stage along the French Way when we take it again in Melide, meeting point of the Caminos and traditional place to taste one of the most international gastronomic dishes of the region: the Galician octopus.
