Discover the most remote rural environments of the Basque Country through the Trans Euskal Herria BTT. A longer and more challenging itinerary than the Trans Euskal Herria cyclotourism thatpasses through some of the most beautiful and unknown landscapes of the North.
This mountain bike route through the Basque Country is part of a collaborative project initiated a few years ago by a group of Basque cyclists who love their land and mountain biking, the Trans Euskal Herria in MTB. They were also the authors of our route Trans Euskal Herria cyclotourism.
The mountain bike version is of a great diversity of landscapes and ecosystems and highly attractive from a cultural point of view. from a cultural point of viewwith a great variety of villages, people and one of the best gastronomic best gastronomy of the peninsula..
This is a long and demanding route that requires mild weather. Winter makes most of the stages impracticable. It is also necessary to consider that rainy seasons leave part of the route with excessive and uncomfortable mud. It is best to adapt the tour to the availability of the group and the climatology of the period in which it takes place.
The complete route of the Trans Euskal Herria BTT consists of 30 stages. The proposal of BTS is to carry it out in two periods of 15 days and to decide together with the group the beginning of the itinerary and the stages that finally will be carried out. Depending on these factors a budget will be elaborated.
